It is with great pleasure that I congratulate Shitoryu Karate Canada and Shitoryu Karate Quebec for organizing the 15th Panamerican Shitoryu Karate Do Championships.
On behalf of the Shitoryu Karate Canada and the Organizing Committee, I am very pleased to welcome all delegation leaders, honourable guests, officials and contestants who will attend the 15th Pan-American Shitoryu Karate-Do Championships, August 3rd to 5th, 2012, in Gatineau, province of Quebec, Canada.
We wish all of you, particularly the participants, a successful tournament, your best performance, as well as the enjoyment of our great sport that is karate. It is my sincere wish that this championship will contribute to the continuous growth and development of Shitoryu Karate Family togetherness, as well as standard and practices.
I am privileged to work with a very dedicated group of individuals, who have committed their tireless days to put numerous action plans and activity agendas forward with a view to bring a successful and memorable international karate-do event for our karate lovers.
Allow me to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to all of you who have been instrumental in the making of this event, namely: Mr. Marc Bureau Mayor of Gatineau; Ms. Françoise Boivin, Member of Parliament for Gatineau and Official Opposition Critic for Justice; Mr. Marc Carrière, Member for Chapleau and Parliamentary Assistant to the Chair of the Treasury Board ; Mr. Jean-Pierre Gendron, President of Karate Quebec; our honourable Shitoryu Soke Kenei Mabuni,; Murata Sensei, our President of WSKF; Arai Sensei and Hashimoto Sensei, Vice-Presidents of WSKF; Iwata Sensei, our technical Director of WSKF; Sensei Claude Larouche, the co-founder of Shitoryu Karate Canada and technical director of Shitoryu Karate Quebec; and all the supporters.
